We seek volunteers who have a love and respect for wildlife, a willingness to make sure animals receive quality care and the dedication to get it done.
Due to the liability of working with non-domestic animals, we require our volunteers to be 18 years of age or older.

animal care volunteer
This position is our most popular and allows you to be hands on with native wildlife. Assist in daily cleaning, diet preparation and intake exams along side our experienced team! AM & PM shifts available.
hotline Volunteer
We are looking for people who would enjoy being the first contact for an injured or orphaned wild animal. Duties would include taking messages, answering phones and giving basic triage information via phone. Training provided.
wildlife taxi volunteer
WRC Taxi Volunteers facilitate “rescues” and “recovery” runs. This would be on a “as needed/on call” basis. Volunteers would be trained in proper handling and some basic stabilization care for wildlife.

sub-permittee
Sub-permittees are volunteers licensed under WRC to act as in-home fosters for wildlife we admit. Sub-permittees are a legal way to provide necessary around-the-clock care for orphaned animals.
